C’est Conor Dunne (Aqua Blue Sports) qui a remporté le titre de champion d’Irlande dans le Comté de Sligo. En solitaire, il devance l’étonnant Darnell Moore, jeune amateur dans le team (Caldwell Cycles Omagh) et Mark Downey (Team Wiggins).
Echappés toute la journée avec un groupe d’un dizaine de coureurs dont Eddie Dunbar, Nicolas Roche entre autre Dunne et Moore se sont livrés à un beau duel dans ce final avant que le coureur d’Aqua Blue Sports place une attaque foudroyante dans les derniers kilomètres.
C’est le premier titre pour Conor Dunne, et le premier aussi pour Darnell Moore qui remporte le titre de champion d’Irlande espoirs.
